From Home to Tadoba covers local British Wildlife (with a surprise twist!) in the first half and Tiger’s of India in the second half. Local wildlife includes images of some iconic species such as Kingfisher, Kestrel, Owls and Foxes. With regards to tigers, I have travelled extensively to several key Project Tiger reserves in India. Here I have encountered hope for the species through watching cubs play in the jungle as well a witnessing first hand some of the problems they face, such as habitat encroachment. I will produce a rounded story whilst covering documentary, landscape, portraiture and action photography through my varying experiences and encounters. It is important for me that ethical photography, responsible tourism and conservation are also covered, and these will serve as an introduction. All images will be discussed in terms of light, composition, technical qualities and real-life situations.
With my zoo photography talks, I aim to share over ten years of experience of photographing in Zoos. I will describe challenges that all photographers must overcome in this environment. Challenges such as shooting through fences, removing reflections when shooting through glass and working with un-aesthetic enclosures. Zoo's are often the only opportunity that many photographers will have to shoot exotic wildlife and I will teach how to maximise the opportunists presented to us in some of the best zoo's and wildlife parks.

“I have recently attended a Tal Chohan talk at Droitwich Camera Club and was really impressed not only by the fantastic images that he displayed, but the overall presentation. Tal demonstrated that you don’t have to venture too far afield to capture wonderful wildlife images as there are plenty of opportunities at home, in the nearby countryside and in local zoo’s. I specifically enjoyed his unique approach to capturing wildlife at angels not normally seen by this genre.”
